BookLook: Elizabeth Bennet, Pride and Prejudice

By Bianca Nieves

Jane Austen described one of her the most beloved literary heroines, Elizabeth Bennet from Pride and Prejudice“as delightful a creature as ever appeared in print”, and not enough truth can ring in those words. Even though Lizzy’s tendency to hastily judge those around her led her in faux directions, her wit and cleverness allowed her rise above her prejudiced ways and overcome her false impressions of the one and only, Mr. Darcy.  Whether with her nose deep in a book, dancing the night away or brilliantly conversing with her peers, Elizabeth Bennet is no stranger to a well put, humble wardrobe capable enough to impress those blinded with pride.

Style Tips: Major Leagues

By Francheska N. Quiñones
Lately, amongst the crowds of overly cheerful tones there lies a distinction within subdued hues.  The delicate linear attributes seen in skin baring tops grant a more relaxed vibe when being pared with an elegant midi skirt.  This here outfit is a home run for that perfect lunch (over extending itself) to dinner date.  With a light sensuousness seen in the subtle bareness, pair this crop top and skirt with accessories that keep their monochromatic elixir intact.  To not be overdressed nor underdressed, lovely kitten heeled shoes shall be your perfect companion.  When in need of extra glitter, opt for lucite statement earrings so they won't over power the entire ensemble.  To pull the look all together, grab a small structured bag, put on your favorite lipstick and stay forever fabulous, Matte Lady.
