Narelle Dore

Narelle Dore, who just a few years ago graduated from the important Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp, released during the Amsterdam Fashion Week an ultra-feminine collection called Woman at Sitting Rock, which specialise in macrame, crochet and knit. In this collection the Australian designer concentrate on handmade yarn pieces. Because she is moving into artisanal approaches, each dress took her and her team around 60 hours to make. She loves making pieces that are time consuming to produce and with a real spirit of craftsmanship. For this season Narelle has been inspired by the nature, particularly in a salt-crystal landscape, which you can see reflected in the forms, the texture and the colours in her creations.
