Calma Carmona: Latin Soul in all its glory

There’s a new diva in town! Puerto Rican songstress Calma Carmona has captured our hearts from the very first moment we heard her voice. Her beautiful looks surely make her stand out, but it’s her remarkable talent that assures us we are in the presence of a true artist. Amazing vocals, combined with smooth tropical, jazz and even cumbia sounds, give us what could be the next Amy Winehouse (musically, of course!). Greatly influenced by Cuban singer La Lupe and Fania All-Star singers, her songs flow between English and Spanish, appealing to a much larger audience, and not just limiting herself to a Latin American audience. Her newly released EP, named “There’s No Other Girl”, features four original songs and one cover.  Check out a small preview here:
