In the left corner of the dim lighted and mystique lobby of the La Concha Resort was a taintless white runway waiting to be fiercely walked upon by dames decked in BCBG MAXAZRIA’s fall ‘13 collection. Thus, what started as stylist Reina del Mar's fancy, became a dream come true that night.
As the time of the spectacle neared, high-heels filled the room and in honor of BCBG, guests were mingling though the multitude, sporting their favorite pieces of past collections. Everybody awaited for the first look to emerge out of the ivory curtains.  Not surprisingly, what we beheld was a cleverly combined collection.

One look after another had the effortless feel that we always strive for; coupled with the designer’s consideration of the diversity of each piece so it could be styled creatively in various outfits. In detail, every ensemble was the excelling combination of two opposite inspirations.

Most of the strongest looks were beautifully layered. Whirling prints, that seemed to be influenced by bohemian ways, were the basic pieces of plenty of the outfits; while on top of them rested slouchy, grunge-esque sweaters or leather jackets with athletic vibes. For the bottom half, classic tailored trousers were the favored choice, whether in classic black and white textiles and/or playful prints.  And last but not least, statement hats were the finishing touch to such soft, yet strong pairings.

The usual graceful BCBG woman was portrayed through the neutral, feminine makeup Eliezer González and his crew flawlessly executed; whilst the strong and bold outlook was displayed in a medley of azure, dark and cream hues. In short, with such a subtle look on the face, sweet met a sporty-street drop of the nineties; reinventing an urban version of the BCBG clientele for this season.
